White sand, clear water and some of India’s best diving
The most popular island in the Andamans, known for Radhanagar Beach, regularly ranked among the best beaches in Asia, and for clear water that suits scuba diving and snorkelling. Elephant Beach has a reef you can snorkel from, and Kalapathar Beach is quiet at sunrise. It has no airport, so you arrive by ferry from Port Blair.
Getting around. Autos, hired scooters and shared taxis link the jetty, the beaches and the resorts. Radhanagar Beach is about 12 km from the jetty. Elephant Beach is reached by boat or a short trek.
