The lake is free; the boat excursion is the ticketed product and it boards at Rameshwar Ghat inside the City Palace complex, so plan it alongside a City Palace visit. The excursion calls at Jag Mandir island, which has a cafe, a bar and the Jagriti heritage exhibition. Jag Niwas island is the Lake Palace hotel and is not a sightseeing stop.
