The resident macaques routinely snatch spectacles, phones, caps and food bags; stow your glasses before the final approach, use the lockers, and carry nothing edible in your hands. The ropeway is a separate paid ticket from the free temple, and it stops at sunset even though the temple stays open into the evening.
