Book online in advance on the official JKCCC portal: walk-up slots sell out in season and touts around the base station sell invalid tickets. Treat Phase 2 as a bonus rather than a fixed plan, since it is closed for weather far more often than Phase 1, and do not pay a tour operator for it in advance without confirming it is running that morning.
