The fee is a stack, not a single number - entry, jeep hire, road toll, welfare levy and camera charges are all billed separately, so an operator quoting only the jeep price is under-quoting by a wide margin. Elephant safari is a different product with its own seat fee (₹1,200 Indian / ₹2,000 foreign national), runs only in the Central and Western ranges, has very limited seats and typically starts later in the season than jeep safari.
