Your expert’s note

Prices are quoted per person and rise steeply with stretch length, but the bigger variable is the water: the same Shivpuri run is a gentle float in May and a serious grade IV day in late September. Only book with an operator registered with the Uttarakhand tourism authorities, and expect a mandatory life jacket and helmet with no alcohol before the run.
