DOC's own listing gives this as an easy ~30-minute walk to a valley viewpoint, not a long glacier trek - the Waiho River has cut off further foot access, so the walk no longer reaches the glacier face itself, which has retreated well up the valley. The track and access road are regularly closed by flooding, rockfall or landslides, so check current conditions with DOC before heading out.
